GuadaLAjara Film Festival

The festival fosters the expansion of a film industry without borders, by creating bridges that connect the Latino community with their countries of origin through a cinematographic language where they see their reality, their dreams, their expectations, and aspirations reflected.

The GuadaLAjara Film Festival disseminates the best of the talent of our filmmakers and is the ideal medium to keep alive the customs, traditions and stories of each country that makes up the Ibero-American region.

From Los Angeles, the Mecca of cinema, and through the Work in Progress Latino initiative, GLAFF promotes the film careers of young filmmakers of Mexican, Latin American, and Latino origin with support to complete their film productions.

In the same way, the festival has placed special emphasis on recognizing with the "Tree of Life" award outstanding personalities of the film industry and the social field in the United States, who, through their contributions to Ibero-American cinema or for their philanthropic work, have contributed to improving the quality of life of Latino communities.

It is in this sense that the festival assumes a sense of social responsibility and closes a virtuous circle by donating the box office proceeds to civil society organizations that help the development and progress of Mexicans and Latinos.

Thus, from the Seventh Art, it is possible to generate collaborative actions that promote the cultural and creative growth of the community, favoring human development, strengthening the identity and cultural ties of the Mexican diaspora by implementing intercultural actions that link the diversity of the population in Los Angeles.
