The academic activities of the University of Guadalajara Los Angeles Program are aligned with the Institutional Development Plan (PDI) of the University of Guadalajara 2019-2025, vision 2030, in order to be in accordance with the new requirements and challenges that arise in a global world.
These activities are carried out based on the substantive purpose of teaching and academic innovation, as well as on that of research, technology, and knowledge transfer, which are integrated into the PDI and are also included in the strategic plan of the University of Guadalajara Los Angeles Program.
From these purposes, it seeks to consolidate in the members of the Mexican and Latino community, a global vision, of social responsibility, with principles of multiculturalism, whose individuals become agents of change and contribute to solving current and future complex problems from the fields of artistic culture, science, technology, and humanistic and social knowledge.
That is why the academic activities of the UDGLA program have been specially designed to address issues of interest to the Mexican, Mexican-American and Latino community such as health, migration, economy, education, multiculturalism and bilingualism through diploma programs, seminars, panels, talks, workshops, courses, conferences, as well as book presentations.
These activities have the academic support of the university centers that make up the University Network of the University of Guadalajara, as well as allied organizations from the public, private and social sectors of the United States.
